Content marketing is the most effective way to reach your audience and create a long-lasting relationship with them. Content marketing is not only about publishing blog posts, it’s also about creating videos, podcasts, ebooks and other forms of content that can be shared on social media or any other platform.
The problem is that many businesses don’t know how to start content marketing. So, here are 5 easy steps to get you started:
Step 1 – Create a vision or focus for your business
Creating a vision for your business will help you determine what kind of content you should publish in order to meet your goals. You can use Google Analytics or any other tool to find out which keywords bring the most traffic to your website.

This information will help you decide what topics should be covered by your future blog posts and videos. Once you have an idea about the topics that are going to attract more people, you can start writing content around those topics.
For example, if the number one keyword bringing visitors to your website is ‘hair extensions’ then every post related with hair extensions (new trends, product reviews…) will bring targeted traffic back to your site and increase sales as well.
On the other hand if ‘natural hair colors’ brings much traffic than ‘hair extensions’ but mostly from female audience then it would be better for you to write blog posts related with natural hair colors instead of selling extensions every time because this topic doesn’t interest as much women as extensions do so it won’t result in increased sales but still there will be some people who might find this topic interesting so they could become potential customers too after reading it so overall targeting right audience helps more in reaching them through content marketing than just publishing random articles without knowing who exactly reads them or not (which results in no engagement).
The more specific and focused your blog post/video/article is the more likely people will share it on their social media profiles or bookmark it on their personal websites which results in even higher amount of visitors coming back on a regular basis which increases conversion rate (buying leads etc) significantly thus increasing sales too!
If at all possible try not only focus on products but also include tutorials and tips as well; this way readers won’t need extra effort while browsing through pages on search engines since they already know what they are looking for and trust me there are millions of people searching for tutorials like How To… guides every single day! Don’t forget that blogging isn’t only about sharing knowledge; sometimes its really important just share stories about how things work behind scenes when creating new products or services therefore blogging shouldn’t be limited only by products but also by company culture!
For example we created our own fashion brand called Lushy Lashes where we talk about our experiences working with clients from different industries such as beauty salon owners, bloggers etc so we can show everyone how great our service works when someone needs eyel
Step 2 – Share social media profiles
don’t forget to share your social media profiles where people can follow you and see the posts you write! I know its quite annoying but trust me it is worth it in the end since this way you are building up a relationship with your audience which increases their trust of your brand and if by any chance some of them decide to purchase from you then they will definitely come back for more!

Step 3 – Guest blogging
Try to do guest blogging in other blogs; this way bloggers from different niches will be able to promote your product or service without even asking for money so again trust me its worth it as many people have already heard about you and all those people who decided to buy because of blog post/video/article written by someone else are still potential customers waiting for an opportunity to get in touch with you!
Step 4 – Create a landing page for Your Business
Create a landing page that describes what is your product or service all about along with prices and delivery dates. This page should also be linked into the blog posts so that when someone clicks on the link they go directly there instead of being redirected somewhere else.
Also make sure that everything on this page looks professional and attractive since visitors want fast results when buying anything online therefore make sure that pages load quickly! Lastly, add products into sale pages often; doing this not only helps buyers find what they need faster but also motivates them to place orders since if at all things go wrong then at least they got something for discounted price which helps in case of returns!

Step 5 – Do marketing to drive traffic to your landing page
The most important part of the process is getting traffic to your landing page. There are many ways to get traffic but the best way is by blogging, doing guest blogging and also social media marketing! I have already explained how you can do that in step 2 so now let’s talk about social media marketing!
Social Media Marketing: This is the best way of attracting customers because they see their friends buying things online therefore they will be more inclined to buy it too. So how does one use social media for business? Well there are many platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and others where you can post blog posts or videos or articles and ask people to share it on their pages/profiles and this helps a lot as people will be able to see what you are selling and if its good then they will be interested in buying it from you rather than going through multiple websites looking for what they need!
Also make sure that every post that goes out from your page should include a call-to-action which shows people what exactly would they want from your website so that when someone clicks on it he/she gets directly taken into the purchase page.
Another great platform for promoting products is Google Adwords; here companies pay money every time someone searches ‘product name’ or ‘product description’ on google thus helping them promote their products without actually having them in front of customer’s eyes.
Also don't forget to do digital marketing to do this.
What steps are necessary to start content marketing?
Remember, content marketing can feel overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. Remember that a successful content marketing campaign should be manageable and sustainable in order to be successful. Take these steps to get started:
1. Identify your audience
This is important: because to create content for a specific reader, you need to have a clear idea of their priorities, challenges and preferences. Choose 1 or 2 to enter if you have details of your various categories. Otherwise, profile your audience members and prospects before starting.
2. Determine the correct format
The right format must be determined to match which stage of the sales cycle you are creating content for. Another important consideration is which formats will help you display value. For some, it will be a video; For others, a checklist.
An audience will judge the quality of your content, and they should. Identify the right resources, internal or external, to create this task. Regardless of who created it, hire a professional proofreader to review anything before it goes out the door. Because if you get it wrong, you will lose customers.
3. Determine how you will deliver
Will you be posting content on your site, emailing it to people or printing it for an event? Start with "where" you know your audience might be, and choose formats that make sense.
To illustrate, an article makes sense to send via email, a checklist or worksheet can be posted on social media, and a buyer's guide is a good follow-up to a pitch.
4. Choose a sustainable schedule
Once you know who your target readers are and the best formats for each stage of the sales cycle, create a short-term (3-6 month) plan.
It is usually easy to develop a content marketing plan that is overly ambitious. However, the plan you design should include content elements that you can realistically create based on your budget and resources. Keep track of how long it takes you to create each piece of content so you can build that time into your schedule.
5. Follow best practices
Compelling content is clearly written and contains no words that only you and your colleagues will know. It should also include detailed advice. A short, relevant, actionable content is best.
