In this way, search engine optimization is the process of increasing the quality and quantity of website traffic from search engines. SEO values organic traffic more than direct traffic or paid traffic to a website.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of optimizing a website to rank higher in search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing. Nowadays, most of the web developers and online marketers are targeting the Google search engine for some amazing Algorithms of Google search results. Moreover, visitors perform 85% of their web searches from Google search engine, so everyone adopts Google search engine optimization techniques.
Today's topic is a basic topic of SEO. At the beginning of blogging, we should have written about the basics of search engine optimization, but we felt that the subject has been written many times in various blogs online, so we did not write about the basics. Recently hearing some interesting questions from several visitors of our blog about SEO, I was compelled to write about such a simple basic topic.
What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization has two meaningful parts to these three words. One is Search Engine and the other is Optimization. That means SEO is a technical web strategy for search engine optimization.
It can be said more simply that the strategy or process of bringing a blog/website to a good position in the search results or on the first page of the search engine is called SEO. You can also call it a systematic trick to get better results from search engines.
Definition of SEO as defined by Moz
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which will increase the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through web search engine results pages.
What is a search engine?
In simple terms, a search engine is a type of software or application to search for something through keywords on the Internet. Where if you write something and search, thousands of information on any subject will appear in front of you in the blink of an eye. Recently the most popular search engine is Google. Apart from this, popular search engines include Bing, Yahoo, Ask, Yandex and DuckDuckGo. We have previously shared a detailed post on what and how search engines work.
How do search engines work?
The search engine saves all types of databases by indexing and crawling all the links of every site including all types of websites of the World Wide Web. Later, according to the search engine search query, the indexed quality data of the blog is gradually published in the search results. In this case, the better you do Search Engine Optimization of your blog, the higher the content of your blog will be seen in the search results.
How do search engines rank a blog?
When a person searches for a specific topic in the search engine, the search engine shows the best content blogs/websites indexed on that topic. Then continuously show all the blogs according to the quality of the blog and content. Search engine uses Latest Ranking Algorithm with Search Query to show the best result of search engine.
What is Search Engine Algorithm?
This is a mathematical calculation of indexed consistently better results for search query's. More simply, it is a continuous list of content indexed according to the ranking and quality of different blogs to be published in search results. That is, whose number is higher, its content will be at the top of the search results.
What is Search Engine Rank?
When a person searches something in a search engine, the search engine shows numerous content in the search results. Search results basically depend-up on the blog's search ranking. That is, whose blog's ranking is better, the content of the blog will show above the search results, and if the ranking is not good, your content will not show on the first page of the search results. Moreover, search engines apply different types of ranking algorithms to show a blog on the search results page.
Why is SEO done?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is basically done to bring a blog/website to good position or first page of search results and to get good ranking from search engine or to get lots of visitors to blog from search engine. When a person properly search engine optimizes his website then his blog will get huge amount of visitors from search engines. Because doing search engine optimization (SEO) will give the search engine a clear idea about the content of your blog. Therefore, to make any website successful or to generate income from the website, SEO must be done correctly on its website.
Think in general sense, when you write a post on a topic, how much to search online for that topic, what keyword is searched, how many posts are there online on that topic, which blog post will be a competitor of your new post, SEO is done to know what is the value of your desired keyword, how much visitors are there if you can rank the post using that keyword and how much income will be possible and how many backlinks will be required to rank that post etc. .
Summarizing all these points, it can be said that to get success in online marketing you need to do search engine optimization and there is no alternative to search engine optimization to get success.
What are the types of SEO?
If you ask someone what are the types of SEO, then everyone will talk about on-page SEO and off-page SEO. There are two types of SEO. But onpage SEO and offpage SEO are not. There are basically two types of SEO. namely-
- Organic SEO.
- Paid SEO.
Organic SEO is again of two types.
- One is onpage SEO.
- The other is offpage SEO.
What is Organic SEO and Paid SEO?
Organic SEO means the process of getting a position on the search results page by following all the rules of search engine optimization. On the other hand, paid SEO is getting on the first page of the search engine in exchange for money from the Google company.
If you look carefully, you will see that after searching for a topic, there are some websites at the top of the search results that have Ad written in small letters. They are the ones that come to the top through paid SEO. On the other hand, all those websites are under them, they are positioned on the Google page without paying any money for organic SEO.
What is Onpage SEO and Offpage SEO?
On Page SEO is the whole process of organizing a website/blog i.e. everything that is required to make a website good is On Page SEO. Onpage SEO is a process of setting up appropriate Keyword, Setting-up Meta, Naming Pages, Page Search Descriptions etc. for the blog. And offpage SEO is to make your blog's content links popular by sharing them on various popular sites, creating back links, joining various forums, promoting the blog etc.
What is White Hat and Black Hat SEO?
White Hat SEO is the use of various technical web techniques to increase the rank of your blog and bring it to the top of the search results. On the other hand, Black Hat SEO is to increase the rank of the blog by breaking the rules of the search engine by adopting some illegal means. Currently Google is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to determine Google search rankings, so it is almost impossible to rank blogs using Black Hat SEO techniques. That's why all big SEO experts are paying attention to White Hat SEO.

Where to learn SEO?
There are two ways to learn SEO well. One is to learn from an experienced person or organization and the other is to learn from various good blogs/websites online. Learning to be online requires a lot of patience. On the other hand, if you learn from a good institution, you can learn in a short time.
But remember one thing that no matter you learn online or from any institution, it must be a good institution or a good all-online blog. There are many SEO teaching institutes available in recent times, but among them it is very rare to find a good one.
So many misconceptions about learning SEO
Recently, there has been a lot of competition in teaching SEO online and offline. Many are claiming themselves as SEO experts. Especially some new YouTubers are jumping around with SEO. Most of the people are starting SEO teaching courses with little knowledge about SEO.
There are some YouTubers who say in YouTube videos, I am getting 1000 visitors per day with 10 posts on such and such a blog. Because I have done 100% SEO on my blog. Some new bloggers and YouTubers are misleading the general public about SEO by giving such wrong explanations.
I saw a video of an SEO expert on Facebook yesterday. Where he argues about SEO and talks a lot of funny stuff. He said that there are many SEO experts in the country who know nothing about SEO. He gave a challenge and said that he will give a keyword, if someone can rank that keyword, then he will give him 10 thousand rupees. If no one else can do it, he can do it.
Such nonsense arguments are nothing but confusion. Hey bro, it is not that easy to rank a website for any one keyword. No one can rank any keyword with 100% challenge. In this regard, the famous SEO expert Neil Patel and Brian Dean himself said, no one can guarantee the ranking of a keyword.
Notice the above image carefully. When I typed "What is SEO" in the Google search engine and searched, the above websites consistently show up. If you want, you can check this by searching on Google.
Here's Moz's post ranking number one on What is SEO. Then Search Engine Land's post is at 2nd position and Neil Patel's blog is at 3rd position. As you can see if you visit Moz's post, they have very few articles on SEO. But their post is ranking best in this regard.
On the other hand, if you visit this post of Neil Patel's blog, you will see that there is no shortage of articles in the post. My question to the flattering SEO exverts here is why Neil Patel's article isn't ranking number 1?
You don't have to worry, I'll answer the question myself. A post on any topic cannot be ranked only if it has good articles. There are many other factors involved in ranking for any keyword besides good articles. Keyword ranking depends on various factors including blog PA, DA and blog age in particular. Moreover, depending on the keyword difficulty of the keyword that will be ranked, will it be possible to rank the keyword?
You open a new blog or website today, even if you try to rank any keyword, you will not be able to rank it. So don't mislead the general public by talking about SEO like this.
