How to create a blog site using BlogSpot?
- First create a Gmail ID.
- Then login to Blogger Account through your Gmail ID.
- Then you will see the image below.
- Click the Create New Blog button in the yellow image above.
- After clicking on Create New Blog it will show as below image.
- Enter the name of your blog in place of Title above.
- Then click Next button. The following page will appear.
- Enter the address of your blog in place of Address. It must be completely unique i.e. different from others. Everyone will find your blog through this address.
- Then click the save button and your blog site will be created. If you are going to create a blog for the first time then you will get a page like below to buy theme.
- From here you can select free theme for your blog site.
- Finally, click the Create Blog button and your site will be created.
Introduction to Blogger Dashboard
- Posts: You can see the list of all the posts you have made so far, sorted by date. If you want to delete any old post or make any changes, you can do it from here.
- Stats: From here you can know details about your blog traffic. This is almost like the Overview option. But from here you can know many more details including how many views on a post, what type of browser visitors came to your blog, visitors from which country visited your blog and which operating system they used to visit your blog etc.
- Comments: How many comments have been made on a post on your blog, which is used to delete comments, approve comments and delete spam comments.
- Earning: If your blog is good and has a lot of visitors, then you can earn money by using Advertisement on your blog with Google AdSense Approved.
- Pages: This is usually where various blog posts are written. For example - about your blog, about yourself, blog policy, contact page, etc. type pages are created.
- Layout: Layout is an important part of blogger template. By using it, you can use different types of gadgets on your blog. It also plays an important role in the layout of the blog.
- Theme: This is the soul of blogger. Blog is unthinkable without it. By editing it you can manage the entire work of your blog. All the designs and changes you need to make to your blog can be done here.
- Settings: We all understand this simple word. So I don't want to say much. From here you can change blog name, blog description and blog address and much more.
- Reading List: Here you will subscribe to blogs and show their posts. If no blog is subscribed, Google will show the post on different blogs.
- Help: If you need to contact the blogger developer team for any reason, you can contact us by clicking here and tell us about your problem. Google Blogger team will notify you about the solution via email.
- View Blog: Click here to visit your blog directly.
New post and blog post introduction
- The image you can see above is the post option of blogger dashboard. Clicking on the New Post option indicated by the arrow will show the Post Editor section as shown below.
- Also you will understand the remaining four parts by yourself.
- The uppermost part of the above image is the place to write Post Title. Here you have to write the title of your blog post.
- Then you can see all the Html and Css codes of your blog post by clicking on the part indicated as Source Code. If you have no experience with Html and Css, then there is no need to work on this part.
- In this section called Post, you can see that I have written what I want to post. Express your thoughts freely here. It looks a lot like MS Word. Use the menus here to fine-tune your post. You will understand this part by yourself.
- Click on the Publish button that you can see in the image above and your post will be published immediately. Before publishing the post, you must set some things.
- In the 2nd part called Labels you can give a name according to the subject matter of your post. As a result, the posts of the same label will show together.
- You can enter the URL address of the post in Permalink. Everyone will find your post through this link.
- As you can see the last number 4, here you can write the description of your post very short. This is also very important for search engine optimization.
- There are also some other parts. But there is no problem if you don't do them. For this reason I have not discussed them here.
Introduction to Stats in Blogger Dashboard
- Stats: Clicking here will show as below image. From this option, you can know how many followers your blog has, how many page views, where visitors are coming from, etc.
- Stats: There are 04 more options under Stats. See details about it below-
- Overview: This option is just like the previous Overview. You will get some additional options only about post view and everything else is same as before.
- Posts: After clicking here you will see the following image. From here you can know details about Posts and Page View i.e. how many times which post and page have been viewed. Here you will find some options of day, week and month on the top right side. You can know more details using them.
- Traffic Source: You can understand the meaning of this simple word yourself. From here you can know from which site visitors are coming to your site. Also, you can get details about what kind of keywords visitors are entering your site using from search engines. See the image below-
- Layout section of every blog is like this. However, Blogger Layout may be a little different depending on the template.
- The part marked with 2 numbers in the above image is the Blogger Gadget button. These can usually be on the right, top, bottom or left side of the blogger layout. Click this button whenever you add a new widget. After clicking this button you will see the image below.
- The options you can see in the above image are Gadgets. You can add them to your blogger by clicking on them. If you click on any one of these, another box will appear, then if you click on Save, the Gadget will be added to your blog.
- The image you can see above is also a Blogger Gadget. The reason it stands out is that it is one of the most used blogger gadgets. If you want to add a custom widget to your blog, you can add it through this.
Blogger Theme Introduction
- If you click on Theme option from blogger dashboard, you will see preview of blog like below image. The two previews you see here are one for computer and the other for mobile.
- Click on customize button and you will see design view like below.
- Customize option. With this you can customize your Them without any coding knowledge. But it has some limits, beyond this limit you can't do anything here.
- Under Customize option you can see 05 more options. Using these you can customize your template.
- You can see the first theme option highlighted in the above image, on the right side of it there are different design themes. You can use different themes by clicking here if you want.
- From the background option you can use different background colors and pictures in your theme.
- You can understand the simple meaning of Adjust Widths. From here you can only change the Width of your theme. There are two options here. You can change the Width of the right sidebar from the main part of your blog and Right Sidebar through Entire Blog. You can see the preview below while changing. As a result, it will be easier for you to adjust it.
- Here are different types of layouts for blogs. For example, there are layouts with two columns, three columns and even four columns. You can use it as you wish. You can easily understand this by looking at the images of the layout.
- The last option you see is the Advanced option, under which there are several more options, which it is not possible for me to describe separately right now. Through these you can change the different colors, fonts and styles of your theme. You can understand it very easily when you see them. Still, if someone does not understand or has any problem to understand, then you can tell us by commenting. We will try to solve your problem, inshallah.
- After changing all the customize options described above, click on the Apply to Blog button. This will save your changed options. You will find it at the very top of the right side of the blog.
- If you click on the Edit HTML button, you will see all the web codes of your template as shown below.
- This is the coding section of your blogger template. Here you can customize your theme using Html, Css and JavaScript. For this you must have knowledge about web design. In short, you can do whatever you want with your blog here.
- These are the settings for the mobile version of your template. From here you can change different designs of your mobile version.
Introduction to Blogger Settings Part-1
01. Introduction to Blogger Basic Settings
- Basic – There are 3 more options under this as well. You can enter the name of your blog in the Title, a short description about the blog in the Description and you don't have to do anything in the Privacy option. Because it is set by default. So you don't have to do anything in this option.
- Publishing - There is only 1 option under it. You can change your blog address from Blog Address. Moreover, if you want to use your own domain i.e. custom domain, then you can set it by clicking on Setup a 3rd Party URL for Your Blog.
- Permissions - There are 2 more options under this as well. Under Blog Authors, click on the Add Authors option and you can choose the author of your blog if you want. This is called Guest Blogging. If you click on Send with the e-mail ID of the person you want to make the author of the blog, the request to make the author will go away. If he accepts your request, he can also write articles on your blog. However, he will not get permission to change any settings of your blog or he will not be able to do it.
- Blog Readers - This is Public by default. So it doesn't have to change anything. But here also you will get two more options. You can make your blog private if you want. This way the blog will be visible to you and no one else.
02. About Blogger Posts and Comments Settings
- Posts – There are 3 more options under this too. Enter the number of posts you want to show on the home page of the blog in the Show at most box.
- Post Template - Different Css styles are used here to customize different posts. I will discuss this in detail in a later post.
- Image Light Box - By clicking on the image of your post, the image will appear as a light box. It is normally selected as Yes. If it is set to No, after clicking on the image, you will need to click on the back button of the browser to return to the post.
- Comments - There are 6 more options under this as well. Comment Location is usually embedded. There are several options here as well which you will understand by yourself. Who Can Comment Select it as you like. Select the Comment Moderation option as per your choice. But if you set it to Always, you will have to approve the comments again and again. After that give Show word verification and Show Backlinks according to your choice. Finally you will get a box instead of Comment Form Message. Here you can write your blog's comment policy or rules.
Introduction to Blogger Settings Part-2
- We will now discuss the two options that you can see marked by the red symbol in the above image.
01. Blogger Mobile and Email Contact
- Mobile - If you want to post blog through mobile then you can activate the option by clicking here. We will discuss this in detail later.
- Email – There are 3 more options under this. If you want to post through Email, then you can turn on the Posting using Email option. Enter your email address in place of Comment Notification Email. Google will give you all kinds of notifications in this email. Enter the email in the Email to Post option only when you turn on the Posting using Email option. Otherwise it won't work.
02. Introduction to Blogger Language and Formatting
- Language - Here it is better to keep English in the first option. But you can choose as you like. Enable Transliteration means the language you want to be translated into.
- Formatting - Not much to say here. If you are located in Bangladesh, the options should be as shown in the image above. If you are staying in any other country then you will set the time according to the Time Zone of that country.
Introduction to Blogger Settings Part-3
- Now we will discuss about the two options that you can see marked by the red symbol in the above image. Among these two options, the Other option is not so important, but the Search Preference option plays a very important role in search engine optimization.
01. Blogger Search Preference Introduction
- Meta Tags - Here you enter a short description within 150 characters corresponding to the subject matter of your blog. Search engines will get an idea about the topic of your blog through these keywords.
- Errors and Redirections - There are two more options under this. You can create a custom page instead of Custom Page Not Found. As a result, if someone enters a wrong link on your blog, you can provide them with some directions. This is called a 404 error page. With Custom Redirects option you can redirect from one link to another link. This type of link is usually used when a link is out of date.
- Crawlers and Indexing- Options in Crawlers and Indexing are two very important for search engine optimization. You will see a message above the two options that if you set any of these incorrectly, the search engine may ignore your blog. So it is important to know these two options well before starting them.
02. Blogger Other Options Introduction
- Blog Tools - From here you can take blog delete, custom blog import and blog backup.
- Site Feed - Not much to do here. If you want to redirect your blogger feed to Feedburner, then you can use this option.
- The rest of the options are not that important. But here you can use Google Analytics option. We will discuss this in detail later.

- Pages - This section is just like the Posts option. Here are the various cleanup about blogs in general. For example - about your blog, about yourself, blog policy, contact page, etc. type pages are created.
- Comments - Used to see how many comments have been made on a post on your blog, delete any comments, approve comments and delete spam comments. By clicking here you will understand the issues easily.
- Earnings - If your blog is good and has a lot of visitors, then you can earn money by using Advertisement on your blog with Google AdSense Approved. But it doesn't support Bengali language yet. Your blog must be in English to get AdSense Approved. We will discuss this in detail later.
- Campaigns - This is basically a part of Google AdWords. You need to have a lot of experience to use it. It plays an important role in search engine optimization.
